Pilgrimids

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Pilgrimids (also: Pilgrims family ) were originally a family based in the Freising area , which also provided the governors of the Freising Hochstift .

As the founder of this Bavarian noble family, an older Odalke is named as the father or uncle of a Cotaperht, who in turn is believed to be the father of the first pilgrim. Another assumption leads the pilgrimids back to Regino and Oaspirin von Hohenkammer , to whom in the year 783 or 788 a son named Liutto is ascribed.

The core area of their land ownership initially included Allershausen and the surrounding area, as well as goods between Westerholzhausen (today incorporated into Markt Indersdorf ), Glonn and Ampermoching (today incorporated into Hebertshausen ), all of which are roughly bordered by the rivers Abens , Middle Amper and Glonn .

Pilgrim also became the guiding name of the later influential Aribones .
