Pino Bertelli

Pino Bertelli (born April 23, 1943 in Piombino , Tuscany , Italy ) is an Italian photographer , filmmaker , film producer , film critic and author .

Life

Bertelli was a steel worker in a factory in his hometown from 1960 to 1986. Inspired by Pier Paolo Pasolini , he began to photograph the structural change in Piombino. Here he took care of the people of the city and became a street photographer . Since the early 1980s he has been known as a writer who dealt with periods and characters in film history. Other publications are the result of his travels around the Mediterranean and Africa.

In 2002 he was commissioned by the regional government of Tuscany to take photos of people at their workplace under the title La Toscana del lavoro, thus documenting the structural change in the region, among other things.
