Piotr Długosielski

Piotr Długosielski (born April 4, 1977 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run and made an international appearance primarily as a relay runner .

At the World Indoor Championships in Maebashi in 1999 , he reached the semi-finals over 400 meters. He was a member of the Polish 4 x 400 meter relay that won the title at the 1999 World Championships in Seville after the US team was disqualified . Długosielski himself was only used in the preliminary round.

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney he was sixth with the season. At the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton , he finished fourth in the 4 x 400 meter relay together with Rafał Wieruszewski , Piotr Haczek and Piotr Rysiukiewicz . The originally victorious US relay, however, was subsequently disqualified , as it had been two years earlier, because of a doping offense by its runner Antonio Pettigrew . The Polish team therefore later advanced to the bronze rank. In the 400-meter run Długosielski reached the semi-finals in Edmonton.

In 2004 he became Polish champion over 400 meters in the hall.

Piotr Długosielski is 1.76 m tall and had a competition weight of 64 kg.
