Piotr Moss

Piotr Moss (born May 13, 1949 in Bydgoszcz , Poland ) is a Polish composer of contemporary classical music . He has lived in Paris since 1981 and has been a French citizen since 1984 .

Moss studied in Poland with Piotr Perkowski , Grażyna Bacewicz , Krzysztof Penderecki and in the late 1970s in Paris with Nadia Boulanger . His extensive activity as a sound poet for all conceivable ensembles is characterized by a permanent search for new sounds and stylistic associations and generally an eclecticism in the style of Alfred Schnittke, whom he admired .
