Piotr Piechniak (born March 9, 1977 in Stalowa Wola , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .
Career
society
Piechniak began his career in his hometown with Stal Stalowa Wola . Here he made his debut in the 2nd division and quickly became a regular player. In the 1998/1999 season he played for the second division club Hetman Zamość . He played a total of five seasons in the 2nd division before moving to Groclin Grodzisk in the Ekstraklasa in 2000 . With Groclin he won the Polish Cup twice and the League Cup twice. After the merger of Groclin Grodzisk and Polonia Warsaw , he played for Polonia Warsaw in 2008/2009. For the second half of the 2008/2009 season, Piotr Piechniak moved to Levadiakos in Greece . After only half a season he returned to Poland and signed with Odra Wodzisław Śląski . With his new club he was relegated at the end of the 2009/10 season . He moved to GKS Katowice in the second Polish division . In the summer of 2011 he left the club in the third division to CWKS Resovia . He ended his career in summer 2012.
National team
He made his debut in the Polish national football team on November 11, 2003 in a friendly against Malta (4-0). His third and last game for Poland played Piechniak on March 2, 2007 in Jerez de la Frontera against Estonia (4-0).
