Odra Wodzisław Śląski , or Odra Wodzisław for short , is a Polish football club from Wodzisław Śląski (German Loslau ). The traditional club colors are blue and red.

history

The club was founded in 1922 as KS Odra Wodzisław Śląski in Upper Silesia . From 1948 to 1963 the association was called Kolejarz Wodzisław . After a merger with Górnik Wilchwy , the association was called KS Górnik Wilchwy-Wodzisław Śląski . Since 1974 the club has been called Odra again . The club played in the Ekstraklasa for 14 years but never won the title. However, the team reached 3rd place in the 1996/97 season . In the 2009/10 season , the club only reached 15th place in the Ekstraklasa and had to relegate to the second division. After relegated from the first division in the 2010/11 season, the club only took part in the cup in the 2011/12 season, but not in regular play. For the 2012/13 season, the club took over the starting place in the 3rd division (fourth highest division in Polish football) from Start Bogdanowice . As of the 2013/14 season, the club temporarily stopped playing. In season 2015/16 the club started in the neuntklassigen Klasa C new.
