Brasília , actually Cristiano Pereira de Souza (born July 28, 1977 in Brasília ) is a former Brazilian football player . He played a total of 172 games in the Polish Ekstraklasa , the German Bundesliga , the Portuguese Primeira Liga , the South Korean K-League and the Cypriot First Division .
Club career
In the football season 1999/2000 he was initially committed to the Polish club Wisła Krakow . In the following season 2000/2001 at Pogoń Stettin .
This was followed by an engagement at Energie Cottbus , where he was a striker with the shirt number 31 from July 2001 to October 2002. He completed 19 Bundesliga games for Cottbus as a striker in the 2001/02 season and scored one goal. With Cottbus he reached 13th place in the 2001/02 season. During the short time in the Bundesliga season 2002/03 he was no longer used at Cottbus.
After his time at Cottbus, he was again committed to Polish clubs: from February 2003 to June 2003 at Zagłębie Lubin and from July to December 2003 again at Wisła Krakau, where he played with the number 11. This was followed by an engagement with the Portuguese club Belenenses Lisbon from January 2004 until June 2005, where he was wearing the number 20. After that, he was with Leixões SC from July 2005 to June 2006 .
From July 2007 to December 2007 he was with the South Korean club Daejeon Citizen and then with the Ulsan Hyundai Tigers , Pohang Steelers and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors . In late January 2010, he signed a contract with the Polish first division club Odra Wodzisław . In the same year he left the club and went to Olympiacos Nicosia .
Brasília returned to his home country in early 2011. Until the end of 2013 he played there for various lower-class clubs, usually only for a few months. In 2014 and 2015 he was without a club. At the beginning of 2016, he was hired by Atlético Sorocaba , where he finally ended his career.
