Golschow , Gólašow in Lower Sorbian , is part of the municipality of Drebkau , a town in the Spree-Neisse district in the southeast of Brandenburg .
history
Golschow was first mentioned in a document with the spelling Golschow in 1522 . The namesake was probably a Golas or Golasch (personal name), which indicates a former owner of the place. In the Thirty Years' War almost all buildings were destroyed. The Kaupmühle (former watermill) belongs to Golschow. The mill is currently inhabited by a family. In 1880 there were 62 Sorbs and 94 Germans living in Golschow.
On January 1, 1974 Golschow was incorporated into Drebkau.
Events
Every year the village club Golschow organizes a village festival in summer and a fair dance in autumn.
