Piotr Szewc

Piotr Szewc (born August 27, 1961 in Zamość ) is a Polish poet , prose writer , essayist and literary critic .

Life

Szewc attended the agricultural vocational school from 1976 to 1977 and then the agricultural technical school. He made his debut as a literary critic in 1978 with the polemical article Nie tak z Białoszewskim , which was published in the magazine Kamena . In 1979 he published his first poem Wiersz na moją śmierć in this magazine . After graduating from high school in 1981, he studied Polish at the Catholic University of Lublin , where he obtained his master's degree in 1986 . After completing his studies, he worked as an editor for the newspaper Za i przeciw until 1989 , for Życie Warszawy from 1991 to 1992 , and in 1995 for Słowo. Dziennik Katolicki and in 1996 for Nowe Książki . He also published in Twórczość, Rzeczpospolita and Kwartalnik Artystyczny

He lives in Warsaw.
