Malin Holta (born June 9, 1993 in Stavanger , Norway ) is a Norwegian handball player .

Career

Malin Holta played for Randaberg in the 3rd division until 2009 before joining Sola HK . After Sola was relegated from the Norwegian Elite Series in 2013, the backcourt player moved to former league competitor Stabæk Håndball , with whom she took part in the European Cup Winners' Cup in the 2013/14 season . In 2014 she returned to Sola HK, with whom she initially competed in the second highest Norwegian league. With Sola she won the championship in the 1st divisjon in 2015 and rose to the elite series. In the 2015/16 season, she was the top scorer in the elite series with 166 goals. From the summer of 2016 Holta was under contract with the French first division club Nantes Atlantique Handball . In the 2016/17 season, Holta took part in the EHF Cup with Nantes and scored a total of 41 goals in eight games. In summer 2018 she returned to Sola again.

Holta appeared 10 times for the Norwegian youth team and 23 times for the junior national team. With these junior teams participated in the U-20 World Cup in 2012 . On May 24, 2013 she made her debut for the Norwegian national team .
