The Pipit Point is the eastern foothills of Grass Iceland in Stromness Harbor of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is the location of a beacon from the days of whaling in the waters of South Georgia.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013 after the giant Pieper ( Anthus antarcticus , English South Georgia pipit ), whose holdings by the program to eradicate rats had benefited on Grass Iceland in the year 2000th
