Pirjo Haggman

Pirjo Häggman ( Airi Pirjo Maritta Häggman, née Wilmi; born June 8, 1951 in Sotkamo ) is a former Finnish sprinter .

In 1969 she was eighth in the 4-by-400-meter relay at the European Athletics Championships in Athens .

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, she was seventh in the 4 x 400 meter relay . Over 200 m she was eliminated in the quarter-finals and in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run.

In 1974 she won silver in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the European Championships in Rome and failed over 400 m in the run-up. The following year she won the Universiade over 200 m and 400 m .

At the Olympic Games in 1976, she came over 400 m on the fourth and in the 4 x 400-meter relay team to sixth place.

In 1978 she was seventh over 400 m at the European Championships in Prague and was eliminated in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run.

At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, she was seventh over 400 m .

She was five times Finnish champion in the 200 m (1972, 1976-1978, 1980) and 400 m (1972, 1973, 1978-1980).
