This season was held here for the first time at a major international championship. Great Britain won the European championship with Rosemary Stirling , Pat Lowe , Janet Simpson and Lillian Board . Second place went to France with Bernadette Martin , Nicole Duclos , Éliane Jacq and Colette Besson . Bronze went to the Federal Republic of Germany ( Christa Czekay , Antje Gleichfeld , Inge Eckhoff , Christel Frese ).
