The men's 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Athletics Championships in 1969 was held on September 10 and 11, 1969 in the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens .
France became European champions with Alain Sarteur , Patrick Bourbeillon , Gérard Fenouil and François Saint-Gilles . Second place went to the USSR with Alexander Lebedev, Vladislav Sapeja, Nikolai Ivanov and Valery Borsow . Bronze went to Czechoslovakia ( Ladislav Kříž , Dionys Szögedi, Jiří Kynos , Luděk Bohman ).
