Alexander Lebedew (athlete)

Alexander Lebedew ( Russian Александр Лебедев , English transcription Aleksandr Lebedev; born April 11, 1946 ) is a former Soviet sprinter .

Over 100 m he won silver over 100 m at the European Junior Games in Warsaw in 1964 and reached the semi-finals at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest in 1966 .

At the European Indoor Games he won silver in the 50 m in Prague in 1967 and won the 1820-meter relay in Madrid in 1968 .

At the European Championships in Athens in 1969, he won silver in the 4 x 100 meter relay and was eliminated over 100 m in the semifinals. In 1971 he was fifth in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the European Championships in Helsinki .

He set his personal best over 100 m of 10.2 s on July 2, 1966 in Odessa .
