The 4-by-400-meter relay team of women at the 2006 European Athletics Championships was on 12 and 13 August 2006 at the Ullevi stadium of the city of Gothenburg held.

Russia became European champion with Swetlana Pospelowa , Natalja Iwanowa , Olga Saizewa ( final ) and Tatjana Weschkurowa ( final ) as well as Jelena Migunowa and Tatjana Firowa, who were also used in the preliminary stages . Second place went to Belarus with Juljana Schalnjaruk ( final ), Swjatlana Ussowitsch , Hanna Kosak and Ilona Ussowitsch ( final ) as well as Kaziarina Bobrik and Irina Chliustawa, who were also used in the preliminary run . Bronze went to Poland with Monika Bejnar ( final ), Grażyna Prokopek , Ewelina Sętowska and Anna Jesień as well as Marta Chrust-Rożej, who was also used in the preliminary run .

The runners who were only used in the preliminary run also received the corresponding precious metal.
