description
The Pischahorn is located in the Silvretta and consists mainly of gneiss . Towards the north it drops steeply into the Vereina valley, here is also a small field of firn . On the other hand, it slopes much more gently towards the Flüelatal to the south and the Mönchalptal to the west. The municipal boundary of Davos and Klosters-Serneus runs on the summit .
Development
The Pischahorn is accessible by hiking trails and can be climbed from the Mönchalptal or the Flüelatal. The summit offers a beautiful all-round view of the region. On the southern flank, a winter sports area has been operated by the Pischa Sportbahnen since 1967 . The original plan envisaged that the Pischahorn summit should also be accessible with the help of a cable car . However, this was never implemented for reasons of cost and because the Swiss Army was then conducting target practice in the area.
