The Pittwater Road is a highway in the northeastern suburbs of Sydney in the east of the Australian state of New South Wales . It connects the seaside resort of Manly with Mona Vale Road and Barrenjoey Road in Mona Vale .

course

The road begins as a local connecting road in the center of Manly and initially leads to the northwest. In North Manly she meets Condamine Street (Met-10) coming from the south , from which she takes over the numbering as Metroad 10. It leads northeast through Brookvale and Dee Why and reaches the coast again at Collaroy . Along her she moves north through Narrabeen and Warriewood to Mona Vale.

At the junction with Mona Vale Road (Met-3) and Barrenjoey Road (S14), it loses its numbering, but continues to the north-northwest and ends on McCarrs Creek Road in Church Point at the southern end of Pittwater Bay , the gave her her name.

There are around 2200 private properties along the 30 km long road.

Development status and speed restrictions

The road begins in Manly as six lanes and retains its width in Brookvale as Metroad 10 to Mona Vale. The last stretch to Church Point has only two lanes.

The maximum permissible speed is 60 km / h on the entire route.
