Piu , bourgeois Fabrício Nogueira Nascimento , (born October 1, 1976 ) is a former Brazilian football player and current football coach who works as an assistant coach at FC Wohlen in the Challenge League . From the 2018/19 season, Piu will be the new head coach of FC Wohlen in the Promotion League .

Career as a player

Fabricio Nascimento Nogueira was called "Bill" in his homeland. After moving to Europe, he took the nickname Piu. Piu celebrated his greatest successes in Switzerland. Especially at FC Wohlen . In 2002 he switched to the Freiamt football team, which had been promoted to the second highest Swiss football league for the first time (then National League B - now the Challenge League ). In the first home game of FC Wohlen in the new league, the team met their favorite canton rival, FC Baden . Piu contributed one of the two goals to the 2-1 victory of FC Wohlen and played himself into the hearts of the fans. FC Wohlen became his home club. Although he moved to SC Kriens twice , in both cases he came back to Wohlen after a year. He finally ended his career at the Freiamt football club.

Career as a coach

In 2014 Piu took over the job as coach of FC Mutschellen. After two seasons he was relegated with the club from the 2nd to the 3rd division, which prompted him to resign. Those responsible convinced him to stay in Mutschellen. Piu rose to the second division again with the club and as a thank you received the job as assistant coach of FC Wohlen alongside head coach Ranko Jakovljevic and goal coach Pascal Zuberbühler in the 2017/18 season .

When it became known that FC Wohlen is withdrawing from professional sport after 16 years and will play in the Promotion League in the future , Piu was the first choice as the new head coach.

Personal

The Brazilian lives with his family in Wohlen and has now been naturalized there.
