Pivco Industries was a Norwegian manufacturer of automobiles . Pivco stands for Personal Independent Vehicle Company .
Company history
The Oslo-based company started producing automobiles in 1991. The brand name was Pivco . Production ended in 1998. Ford acquired a stake in the company in late 1998. The new company was called Think Nordic AS .
vehicles
The vehicles were small cars with electric motors . The first model was the Piv 1 . 15 of these were made by 1995. The following model was the Piv 2 , also called City Bee . A lightweight aluminum frame was created in collaboration with Norsk Hydro . The body was made of plastic . The vehicle length was 280 cm. The maximum speed was given as 100 km / h. A total of 120 copies were made.
