The Pyongyang-Sinŭiju Expressway (kor. 평양 신의주 고속도로, Pyeongyang-Sinuiju-Gosogdolo ) is a trunk road under construction in North Korea , which will be built parallel to the Pyongyang – Sinŭiju railway and will connect Pyongyang with Sinŭiju in the future . The Chinese border town of Dandong is to be reached via a new bridge . The Pyongyang-Sinŭiju Expressway will be 387.1 kilometers long.

construction

Construction began in 2010. It is not known when the line will be completed. The lanes for the two directions of travel should not be separated in the middle by green strips or guard rails . At the same time, the new railway line, which should be designed for a top speed of 200 km / h, is being built. When completed, it will fill a gap in Asian Highway 1 .

Buildings

A total of 19 toll booths , 12 rest areas and 77 bridges will be built.
