The Pyongyang-Wonsan Expressway (kor. 평양 원산 관광 도로 , Pyongyang-Wonsan-Gwangwangdolo ) is a highway in North Korea , which Pyongyang to Wonsan connects. Another name is Pyongyang-Wonsan Tourist Road .

construction

The road was built in the 1970s and completed on September 2, 1978. It is 190 kilometers long.

course

The highway begins at a motorway intersection of "highway reunification" in Pyongyang (District Rangnang-guyok ) and runs over Sangwon , Koksan and Sinpyong (province of North Hwanghae Province ) to Wonsan ( Kangwon Province ) directly to the Sea of Japan .
