Pyotr Adolfowitsch Ozup

Pyotr Adolfowitsch Ozup ( Russian Пётр Адольфович Оцуп ., Scientific transliteration Pëtr Adol'fovič OCUP * July 9 . Jul / 21st July  1883 greg. In St. Petersburg ; † 23. January 1963 in Moscow ) was a Russian photographer .

Ozup started working as a photographer with the photographer W. Jaswoina in Saint Petersburg. From 1900 to 1917 he worked for magazines such as Niwa , Rodina, Ogonjok, Iskra and Solnze Rossii. During the Russo-Japanese War he was a photo reporter at the front.

During the years of the October Revolution and the Civil War , he managed to document some of the most exciting and telling moments. His work includes around 40,000 photographs.
