The Platinum Tower is located on the coast of Beirut in Lebanon . The building complex consists of two individual high-rise buildings that look like a single tower. You are in the Minet el-Hosn district with a view of St. George's Bay .
location
The skyscrapers are located on Professor Wafik Sinno Avenue , directly on the promenade, the Corniche Beirut and the new Beirut marina , Zaitunay Bay . At 152.5 meters high, the building is one of Beirut's new landmarks on the coast. There are other high-rise buildings in the vicinity, such as the 125-meter-high Bay Tower, which was also completed in 2008, and the 150-meter-high Marina Towers . Built in 1961 and 2000, the Phenicia InterContinental Hotel , which with its 22 floors was once one of the most eye-catching landmarks in Beirut, has since lost that title.
Building
The Platinium Towers consist of two towers, the higher one on the lake side and the lower one on the side towards the city center. They were planned and built as luxury apartment buildings by the architects Nabil Gholam and Ricardo Bofill . With its 34 floors, the taller tower reaches a height of 152.5 meters and was the tallest building in Lebanon until 2014. In the basement there is a garage with a total of 360 parking spaces on 4 floors. The 63 apartments can be reached via a total of 14 elevators. The building was completed in 2008, a year later than planned. Direct access to Zaitunay Bay via a bridge is planned, but not yet implemented.
lighting
The towers are illuminated at night at the corners and on the roof with wide strips of light. There are horizontal light strips on every ninth floor.
