The Pleasant Plateau ( English for Pleasant Plain ) is a small and largely ice-free plateau in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Brown Hills of the Cook Mountains , it lies west of the Blank Peaks and the Foggydog Glacier .
Participants in a 1962 to 1963 campaign of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions explored the plateau and named it after the consistently good weather conditions they encountered here.
