The Foggydog Glacier (from English foggydog , ' fog dog ' ) is a glacier in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It flows in the Brown Hills of the Cook Mountains between Blank Peaks and Mount Rich .
Participants in a 1962-1963 campaign as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions mapped it and gave it a descriptive name. When viewed from above, the glacier, which is often surrounded by fog , resembles the head and neck of a dog . A moraine on the glacier, reminiscent of a collar , also reinforces this impression.
