Wolf Hanke
Wolf Hanke (born February 18, 1928 in Löwenberg, Silesia ; died November 5, 2016 in Santander , Spain ) was a German journalist, theater actor, radio play speaker and foreign correspondent . For many years he was editor- in- chief at Hessischer Rundfunk . In 1961 he built up the editorial team for the Hessenschau .
life and work
Immediately after the war, Hanke studied biology at the Philipps University in Marburg .
Professionally, Hanke was drawn to the theater stage. He co-founded the Marburg theater . He then played for a number of years at the Staatstheater Kassel , including the roles of Pylades in Iphigenie , Ferdinand in Egmont and Lieutenant Hartmann in Des Teufels General . From Kassel it went to Berlin theaters for two more years.
His career as a journalist, for which he turned his back on the stage, began in 1953 as a trainee at the Westdeutscher Tageblatt in Dortmund . Before he switched to the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt am Main in 1959 , he was an editor at the Frankfurter Neue Presse for five years . As a television journalist, regional reporting was particularly important to him. From 1961 he built up the editorial team for the Hessenschau , a daily regional magazine on television.
In 1963 he became head of the "Current Affairs and Current Affairs" department and in 1966 television editor-in-chief. Afterwards, his journalistic work led him to Prague in 1974 as a correspondent and ARD studio manager and in 1979 in the same position at the ARD studio in Madrid. He was awarded for the show Madrid, Madrid, Madrid . Until his retirement in January 1994 he worked for ARD in Spain.
