Georg Hardy

Georg August Hardy (born October 8, 1807 in Seligenstadt , † February 20, 1853 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian civil servant and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Georg Hardy was the son of government councilor Edmund Adam Hardy and his wife Elisabeth Josefa, née Rapallo. Hardy, who was a Catholic, married Wilhelmine (Mimi) Eleonore Philippine nee Beck (1815-1853).

Hardy became a court clerk at the court in Darmstadt in 1830 . In 1832 he moved to the district of Dieburg as district secretary and in 1834 became secretary to the provincial commissioner and district councilor in the district of Darmstadt , Karl von Starck . In 1839 he was a member of the district school commission and in 1841 an assessor for the provincial commissioner and district councilor in the Darmstadt district. In 1844 he became a government councilor and in 1847 a councilor at the administrative justice and Lehnhof. From 1852 he was a member of the Oberpostinspektion.

From 1841 to 1849 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was first elected for the constituency of Upper Hesse 11 / Hungen and then for the constituency of Starkenburg 1 / Heusenstamm.
