Christian Karl Theodor Weyland

Christian Karl Theodor Weyland (born November 21, 1789 in Lichtenberg ; † August 29, 1853 in Bad Ems ) was a Hessian judge and conservative politician and member of the 2nd Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Christian Karl Theodor Weyland was the son of the chief accountant Johann Philipp Ludwig Weyland and his wife Friedrieka Katharina Luise, née Lorsch. Weyland, who was Protestant, married his cousin Henriette Rosalie nee Weyland (1802-1856) in Weimar in 1819 , the daughter of the President of the Landscape College Philipp Christian Weyland.

Weyland studied law at the University of Gießen from 1808 and became court attorney at the court in Darmstadt in 1811 . In 1819 he became a judicial officer in Lorsch and in 1821 a district judge in Groß-Gerau. In 1830 he became a court judge in Darmstadt and in 1835 a court judge of appeal and cassation at the Darmstadt Court of Appeal .

From 1832 to 1847 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was initially elected for the constituency Starkenburg 1 / Heusenstamm and then Starkenburg 12 / Groß-Bieberau and finally Starkenburg 8 Wald-Michelbach.
