Georg Schmidt (politician, 1807)

Johann Georg Schmidt (* February 6, 1807 in Rodau ; † September 22, 1874 there ) was a Hessian farmer and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Georg Schmidt was the son of Johann Christoph Schmidt (1787–1831) and his wife Maria Elisabetha, née Daab. Schmidt, who was Protestant, was mayor of Rodau and married Catharina nee Lorz (1804-1884) there on September 27, 1827.

From 1847 to 1849 and from 1851 to 1856 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 12 and 11 / Groß-Bieberau .
