Christoph Arnold (politician)

Christoph Arnold (born September 27, 1839 in Wald-Michelbach ; † September 18, 1893 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian politician ( NLP ) and a former member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Christoph Arnold was the son of the landlord Johann Georg Arnold and his wife Anna Maria nee Großmann. He was a Catholic and married to Josefine, born Riefel (July 11, 1846 in Darmstadt – March 3, 1896, ibid). During his studies he became a member of the Germania Gießen fraternity in the winter semester of 1858/59 . Christoph Arnold embarked on a legal career and was initially a court associate in Wald-Michelbach before he became a regional court assessor in Offenbach am Main from 1869 and from 1871 in Lorsch and 1875 in Darmstadt . In 1879 he was appointed judge at the Darmstadt II district court . In 1883 he was promoted to senior magistrate. In 1888 he became district judge at the district court of the Starkenburg province and in 1890 first public prosecutor at the Darmstadt district court.

Christoph Arnold was a member of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse from 1881 to 1893 . He was elected in the constituency Starkenburg 4 / Wald-Michelbach .
