Philipp Müller (politician, 1849)

Philipp Müller (born December 4, 1849 in Nierstein , † February 4, 1920 in Wiesbaden ) was a Hessian innkeeper and politician ( SPD ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Philipp Müller was the son of Philipp Johann Müller and his wife Katharina, née Hammel. Müller, who was free religious, was an innkeeper in Darmstadt from the 1880s to 1896 and married Maria nee Bender.

In the 1870s he was a party functionary in Mainz and Langen (near Darmstadt). He was sentenced to numerous political sentences. In September 1878 he was sentenced to one year and in December 1886 to 6 months in prison. 1896-1899 he was a business traveler for manufactured goods. From 1899 to August 1900 he was workers 'secretary in Darmstadt, from September 1900 to 1905 in Altona and from 1905 until his death he was workers' secretary in Wiesbaden, and at the same time chairman of the union cartel. From 1914 to 1918 he was a city councilor and from 1918 to 1920 city councilor in Wiesbaden.

From 1890 to 1896 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Starkenburg 16 / Offenbach-Seligenstadt .

The Reichstag candidates in 1890 (LP10) Hessen 4 (Darmstadt - Groß-Gerau) and 1912 (LP15) Koblenz 4 (Kreuznach - Simmern) were unsuccessful.
