There are opportunities for ascent if you continue north from the Großer Ringkogel to Pletzen. You can also climb from the Ingeringgraben via the Sundlalm over the Sundlsee to Pletzen. Another possibility to ascend is to get from Ingeringsee directly via the Kärntental or the Bärental to Pletzen.
