Plexicushion

Plexicushion is an acrylic based flooring for hard tennis courts that is used on the ATP World Tour and WTA Tour . It is made by the US company Plexipave , which is based in Massachusetts .

There are currently four different types of Plexicushion. The Plexicushion rubber consists of a Plexicushion substrate, which consists of latex , rubber , plastic particles and the acrylic surface Plexipave .

Australian Open

On May 30, 2007, the organization of the Australian Open and Tennis Australia presented Plexicushion as the new flooring for the Australian Open. The surface was laid in time for the Australian Open 2008 , as well as some preparatory tournaments for the Australian Open.
