DecoTurf

DecoTurf is a hard court surface especially for tennis courts , but also for basketball and multifunctional courts . The pavement consists of different layers of acrylic , rubber , silicon and other materials and is installed on asphalt or other hard surfaces. The surface is manufactured by the company Decosystems , based in Andover , Massachusetts , USA , a subsidiary of California Products Corporation , which also produces the hard court surface Plexiplave .

The surface is currently used in many tennis tournaments of the ITF , ATP World Tour and WTA Tour , such as B. at the US Open and the tournaments of the US Open Series , including the ATP World Tour Masters tournaments in Canada and Cincinnati . DecoTurf was also the floor covering for the Olympic tennis tournaments in Beijing , Athens and Rio de Janeiro .

Compared to the Rebound Ace rubber , which was mainly used in the past at the Australian Open from 1988 to 2007 , the balls do not slow down as much after the bounce and jump off noticeably deeper.
