The Plovdiv Derby ( Bulgarian Пловдивското дерби) is the name of a city ​​derby in the second largest Bulgarian city ​​of Plovdiv , primarily between the two football clubs Botew and Lokomotive . Their encounter is considered next to the capital derby between Levski Sofia and CSKA Sofia as the most explosive derby in the Bulgarian league and is sometimes even seen as Bulgaria's most critical football game. Although both associations are now anchored in all social classes, Botew is traditionally regarded as an association of the middle and upper classes, while Lokomotiv is a representative of the poorer classes.

The first derby between the two clubs was held on April 1, 1951 and Lokomotiv won 3-0.

The highest derby victories, however, celebrated Botew with a 5-0 each on August 27, 1988 and September 2, 1995.
