Plum Grove is a city in Liberty County in the US state of Texas in the United States .
geography
The city is located in southeast Texas, at the intersection of Farm Road 2090 with 1010, about 65 km southeast of Houston in the northwest of the county and has a total area of 18.9 km² without any significant water surface.
Demographic data
According to the 2000 census, 930 people in 284 households and 230 families lived here. The population density was 49.1 inhabitants per km². The racial the population was composed of 91.29% White, 0.75% African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.22% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, and 5.38% other ethnic groups. About 2.04% were mixed race and 8.60% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 284 households, 50.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them. 69.0% of these were married couples living together. 6.0% were single mothers and 18.7% were non-families. 15.8% of all households were single households and there were people living in 4.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.27 and the average family size was 3.65 people.
36.1% of the population were under 18 years old, 9.7% 18 to 24, 33.2% 25 to 44, 16.8% 45 to 64, and 4.2% who were 65 years of age or older . The median age was 28 years. For every 100 females of all age groups, there were 111.8 males. For every 100 women aged 18 and over there were 104.8 men.
