The Plumb Bob Point (English for Lotspitze ) is a headland in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located 6 km northeast of the Knobhead at the convergence of the Taylor and Ferrar glaciers and marks the northeastern end of the Quartermain Mountains .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named the headland in 1993, as did other objects in the area, after a tool used in surveying .
