Podbila is a village parish in Bosnia and Herzegovina . It belongs to the community of Posušje .

East of Podbila is Vir , south of Ričice and the Croatian border. In the north is Zavelim . Almost exclusively Catholic Croats live in the village .

history

The place is located in a ravine of the Ričina River . Podbila was an independent parish from the 16th century to 1735. In 1626 the Župa Podbila and Sovići (Gorica) were first mentioned in a document.

The church in Podbila was built in 1937 and consecrated to Peter . It belongs to the parish of Vir.
