The Podprudnoye Lake ( Russian Озеро Подпрудное Osero Podprudnoje , German 'See am Tümpel' ) is a small lake not far from the Princess Astrid coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located immediately northwest of Prilednikovoye Lake in the Schirmacher Oasis .
Participants in a Soviet Antarctic expedition, which also named it, mapped the lake in 1961. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names translated this name into English in 1970.
