The Delicate colored grasshopper ( Poecilimon gracilis , Syn. : Poecilimon Mavrovi ( Karaman , 1958), Poecilimon toelgi ( Ebner , 1908)) is within the subordination of Ensifera the superfamily of katydids and subfamily of sickle terror .
features
The petite stained Schrecke has a thick rear body and a saddle-shaped, rearwardly elongated neck plate . The lower legs of the last pair of legs have small spines. The basic color is light green. A light yellowish-white band runs from the eye over the pronotum and down to the abdomen, which often continues to the end of the abdomen. The tiny wings are colored light brown. The rear edge of the pronotum is dark red, the antennae and lower legs are light red. The body is covered with tiny dark points that make it appear darker. The female reaches a body length of 17 to 23 millimeters, the male is between 16 and 20 millimeters long.
Way of life and distribution
The petite spotted insect lives in damp, heavily overgrown forest clearings and mountain meadows. It occurs from Albania via Serbia and Montenegro , Macedonia , Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia to the southeastern Alps . The adults occur from July to August.
