Point Blank is the third studio album by the German hard rock band Bonfire . It was released in October 1989.
history
During the recording of Point Blank , guitarist Hans Ziller was fired. Drummer Edgar Patrick said: "Between Hans and the rest of the band something had built up over time, which was reflected in this very separation." A settlement was reached with Ziller, who co-wrote ten pieces on the album and can be heard on three, and he received a severance payment of 70,000 DM. As early as 1991, the band was again writing songs with Ziller. Point Blank sold a little less than its predecessor Fireworks , which made up around 20,000 fewer units in Germany - but according to its own information, the band sold 50,000 more copies in Europe. In The Price of Loving You had Desmond Child as a songwriter with - 1991 he published the piece on his solo album Discipline yourself.
Reviews
The album peaked at number 74 in the UK . The Musikexpress wrote that Bonfire was making "unmistakable musical progress and stalking its way closer and closer to the international competition." "This is modern hard rock with a personal style."
