Fireworks is the second studio album by the German hard rock band Bonfire . It was released in October 1987.
history
Fireworks was recorded in 1987 with guest drummer Ken Mary of Fifth Angel . Michael Wagener was in charge of production. The band recorded 25 tracks, 11 of which made it onto the album. The album came out with two different cover designs, one similar to a round metal clasp that was released internationally, as well as the North American version that showed the four band members. In 2009 a remastered edition was published. In addition, the live recording Fireworks - Still Alive was released in 2011 , where the band played the album live.
Reviews
The Metal Hammer gave the album 5/7. Irene Vögeli wrote at the time: "Bonfires steal in a most obvious way, but they do their thing - you have to admit this - skillfully. Fire Works is definitely pleasing and is therefore worth a musical journey of discovery." This escaped the Musikexpress : "You have always wanted your music to be so fresh and free of any role models", it says in front of the printed 5 out of 6 possible stars.
