The Polish Bluff ( spanish Punta Polaca ) is a 100 m high cliff on the south coast of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located southwest of the entrance to Johnson's Dock on the west side of the Hurd Peninsula and marks the northeastern boundary of the Argentina Bay .
The designation made by the Spaniards in 1988 was transferred to its current form in 1991 by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee . The name was given as thanks for Poland's help in setting up the Spanish Juan Carlos I station on the Hurd Peninsula.
