Chemical properties

Polonium dichloride, like polonium (IV) bromide and polonium (IV) iodide, is hygroscopic . The polonium is oxidized to the tetravalent Po 4+ by hydrogen peroxide . Polonium (II) chloride reacts with bromine vapors to form pink polonium dichlorodibromide PoCl 2 Br 2 .
