Poompat Sapkulchananart

Poompat Sapkulchananart ( Thai : ภูมิ พัฒน์ ทรัพย์ กุล ชน นาถ ; * October 18, 1983 ) is a Thai badminton player .

Athletic career

Nationally, Poompat Sapkulchananart won the Thai championships in 2006 in the men's singles and thus interrupted Boonsak Ponsana's winning streak at this event.

At the Asian Games in 2006 Poompat Sapkulchananart made it to the second round, but was eliminated there against the later silver medalist Lin Dan from China. At the Southeast Asian Games in 2007 he was even in the quarter-finals, but then lost to Nguyễn Tiến Minh from Vietnam in just three sets. The quarter-finals were also the last stop at the 2006 Asian Cup . Here he lost to the eventual winner Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia. In the Denmark Super Series 2007 and the Singapore Super Series 2008 , he was eliminated against Peter Gade in the round of 16.
