Pop-up restaurant in Belgium

A pop-up restaurant is a temporary restaurant, for example to test a culinary concept or as an alternative accommodation when a restaurant is temporarily closed.

description

Pop-up restaurants have been popular in the UK and Australia since the 2000s but are not a new phenomenon. Guests use social media to make online reservations.

Pop-up restaurants are often a means for young professionals to learn their hospitality skills when looking for investors or attention after opening a restaurant or culinary concept. Pop-up restaurants are also used by up-and-coming chefs, as they allow underutilized kitchens to be used and "to experiment without the risk of bankruptcy".

Instead of reservations, tickets are also sold online.
