Popudnja ( Ukrainian Попудня ; Russian Попудня Popudnja ) is a village in the west of the Ukrainian Cherkassy Oblast with about 860 inhabitants (2001).

The village is located in the south of the Monastyryschtsche Raion 17 km south of the Monastyryschtsche Raion center . In addition to the village of Popudnja, the district municipality also includes the settlement Sabiljany ( Забіляни ) with about 60 inhabitants.

Personalities

The Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Kiev and All Ukraine Vasyl Lypkivskyj (1864–1937) was born in the village .
