Porno Graffitti ( Japanese ポ ル ノ グ ラ フ ィ テ ィ , Poruno Gurafiti ), in short: Porno ( ポ ル ノ , Poruno ), PG or Porugura ( ポ ル グ ラ ), is a J-rock band from Innoshima (today: Onomichi ), Hiroshima Prefecture . The name comes from the album Pornograffitti by the band Extreme . You are under contract with Sony Music Entertainment Japan and the Amuse agency .
biography
Haruichi Shindo formed the band in 1994 while he was in high school with his cousin under the name No Score . The name arose because none of the members by this time a score (English score could read). Akihito Okano and Masami Shiratama also joined the band at Haruchi's request. First Haruichi took over the singing role himself, but then gave it to Akihito and took over the position of guitarist.
Her debut single Apollo was released in 1999 and immediately reached number 5 on the Oricon charts . The fourth single Saudade and the sixth single Agehachou sold almost a million copies in Japan. They also became known through the song Melissa , which was used in 2003 for the opening of the anime series Fullmetal Alchemist , and the song Hitori no Yoru , which was used in 2000 for the opening in Great Teacher Onizuka . In 2006 the song Winding Road appeared in the credits of the series Ayakashi Ayashi and a cover of their song Music Hour from 2000 in the Nintendo DS game Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 .
