Post disco

Post-disco is now a term used for the disco movement in the first half of the 1980s . It developed at the end of the 1970s from various influences of dub , funk , synth-pop , experimental music and jazz and, in turn, has strongly shaped or influenced musical styles such as Italo Disco , Electro Funk, Dance Pop and House music .

The line-up of a post-disco band usually consists of a synthesizer , vocals , keyboard with sampler and sequencer as well as percussion instruments such as percussion drums, drums or drum computers .

Typical post-disco representatives were or are Arthur Baker , Larry Levan , Shep Pettibone , Freeez , Imagination , Evelyn King , The Whispers , Kano , Skyy , Nick Straker Band , Telex , Was (Not Was) , and Arthur Russell .
